Students Attend Ottawa Fury Game
Today, May 2, our Blossom Park Junior and Intermediate students went to an Ottawa Fury Game!! The weather was beautiful and the Fury Staff and Organizers at the TD Centre were AMAZING! Thanks to Kelly Dykes for organizing the day and for all our amazing teachers and parent volunteers that helped out!

School Council News: Book Sale - May 10, 2018
Our school is running a book sale for used books on May 10th during the Fun Fair. We’re looking for picture books, (both fiction and non-fiction) and novels for children and teens (please, no text books or magazines). Please send them to Blossom Park Public School no later than the 3rd of May! Also, we are looking for volunteers to do Henna designs and Face Painting.

News From Blossom Park
Math Bonanza Day! On Wednesday, April 18th, the students and staff participated in Math Bonanza. Students from kindergarten to grade 8 were put into teams and rotated to different rooms throughout the school to participate in fun math activities. Our intermediate students did an excellent job being team leaders. The students enjoyed the math activities that the teachers from the Math Bonanza Committee created as well as the estimation games with sweet prizes! But the best response of the day was..."I didn't know MATH could be so much FUN!!"

GLAD Cleaning the Capital - Thursday, April 26
Blossom Park is working with Ontario EcoSchools to nurture environmental leaders, reduce the ecological impact of schools & build environmentally responsible school communities. As part of that mission, the GLP and Grade 7/8 MFI students will participate in the GLAD Cleaning the Capital campaign ​ on Thursday, April 26th (rain date May 3rd)​ . Each year residents come together as a community and combine efforts to make our city clean and green. ​​ The intermediate students will be walking down the road to Russel Boyd Park to enjoy the outdoors while ensuring that Ottawa stays clean, green, and litter-free!
